## Site Details
REDU Format is a website dedicated to the eponymous community of the popular Retro Format with the same name. It is a historical October 2012 Retro Format, snapshotting the events of YCS Providence 2012 where Karakuri Geargia, Chaos Dragon, Dino Rabbit, Agent, and others all vied for the top spot after Wind-Up fell to the September 2012 banlist.
As a Retro Format event, please keep in mind all cards and rulings used will reflect those of the time. The game will be played using the Master Rule 2 ruleset, the September 2012 Banlist, and various relevant erratas of the time.
Don't have a REDU deck? No worries! We have published many real-life historic Deck Lists from YCS Providence 2012, which can be found in the [Hall of Fame](https://reduformat.net/hall-of-fame) page of the website. Additional Decks can be found using the Dueling Nexus Public Deck Browser at https://duelingnexus.com/yugioh-decks/.
Need more information, help, or just want to discuss REDU with others? Visit #redu-discussion! It's our server's one-stop-shop for all REDU players.
Finally, as a part of the website's systems, all matchmaking, brackets, and reporting will be handled automatically! You will not need to submit Decklists to a Tournament Organiser, make game links yourself, or report results in #tournament-results. The REDU Site automates all functions to make the experience seamless for users.
If you encounter any issues, please be sure to contact @victorgodoka or a @Tournament Organiser for help. We hope you enjoy this event, and have fun playing REDU!!

How this tournament runs
Decks are checked against the 2012.10 REDU/Wind-Up banlist. The list you registered is locked when the tournament starts - changing it afterwards is a disqualification.
Each round stays open for up to 2 days. Coordinate with your opponent and play inside the round window; a moderator starts the next round. Unreported matches are recorded as a double loss.
Matches are best of three, side decking allowed between games. One report settles the match; a wrong result can be sent to a moderator.
After 5 rounds of Swiss the standings are final. Dropping is permanent.
During the event
Ask in the tournament channel on Discord. A moderator answers rulings and handles disputes while rounds are open.
